A Day in Morioka

April 2007 - Seeing as how it's been quite a while since I added a post, I finally have some pictures to share! Yesterday, Greg and I took a base sponsored trip to Morioka to visit the zoo, an amusement park, and a shopping mall (the one with Starbucks)! The weather wasn't ideal - pretty rainy and windy, but it was still fun. There were a few animals at the zoo that are native to Japan that we hadn't ever seen before, so it was pretty interesting. The views from the zoo were beautiful - it was up in the hills a little bit, so it's surrounded by mountains. Since it was cloudy, the pictures don't really do it justice, but I think you can get an idea.
