Arriving in Misawa
Oct 2006 - After spending the night in Tokyo, we flew out the next day to Misawa. Tony picked us up at the airport and took us to our temporary living quarters at the Misawa Inn on the base. It was pretty nice, although the bed was probably equivalent to the floor. We had a kitchen, living room and internet access, thank goodness! The internet was my saving grace the first few days we were here, (and still is!) That evening, he took us to a restaurant in town that was an all-you-can-eat type place, where you grill your food on a little grill in the center of the table. That weekend, we went out on the town to experience our first karaoke bar in Misawa. And yes, Greg and I both made our first debuts.
