The playgroup that Ashley and I have been attending, has turned out to be really good. The leader of the group is great, and has lots of ideas for different themes that are fun for the kids. Yesterday, it was a bug theme, and it was a lot of fun. There is this beetle here that is HUGE, and totally disgusting, but people have them as pets! They are very popular with the little boys, and you can buy houses and food and everything for them. They don't bite, but they have horns and are just nasty looking. Anyway, a friend of one of the moms in the group has one, so he brought it to show the kids. They got a kick out it, but it freaked all the adults out! It jumped out of the guys hand once and started running across the floor, and it was all the moms screaming instead of the kids!
Did I mention that it was HUGE??!!
People CHOOSE to have these in their homes. Gross!!!
This is when the beetle made an escape. The picture doesn't do the situation justice. It was pretty funny....and freaky!
