This is Ashley's room, all packed up (except for her little yellow couch, which we had to leave out because she LOVES it!!)
She did really well while the movers were here, except that she got a little freaked out a few times, just because there was so much going on, and she didn't understand what was happening.
This is our bedroom - all that was left was the computer desk, our laptop and phones!

Ok, so it's going to be great fun trying to put boxes where they're supposed to be in our new house, because some of them are labeled only in Japanese! So unless our movers in San Antonio can read Japanese (which I seriously doubt, haha!) they (and we), are going to have no clue where a lot of our boxes should go! Exhibit A...

One or two of the movers knew a little bit of English, but their translations were sometimes confusing. Hence, Exhibit C, below... do you know what a "manomater" is? No? Me either!
And I'm not sure what's really in this box, because I kept my hairdryer out, so it wouldn't be packed. It will be like Christmas when we open these in a couple of months! Haha!
I have to definitely give the Japanese movers kudos, though, for a job WELL DONE!! (as I knew it would be, from our great experience moving here.) They said they'd be here at 8:00 am, and in traditional Japanese style, they rang the bell at 7:58 am. There were 6 of them in the crew packing our house, and by the time they loaded the truck, 4 more showed up. They all took off their shoes, every time they came in the house, they didn't eat, drink, or talk on their cell phones while they were working. They only took 2 breaks, which were not a minute over when they said they would return, they were polite, thorough, and FAST! It only took them 5 hours start to finish, to have our entire house packed and loaded. You would be hard pressed to get that kind of service in the states, unfortunately! Gotta love the Japanese work ethic!!
