Chitose, Japan
Greg and the other SERE Specialist here, Ben Thomas, traveled to Chitose, Japan for 5 days to train the Japanese Para-rescue guys up there. Chitose is located in the Hokkaido Region, which is the most Northern region in Japan. They trained them in rock climbing, rappelling, and treating & evacuting injured persons. As you can kind of see from the pictures, it was beautiful where they were climbing right by the ocean. To get to the Hokkaido Region from the Tohoku Region (where we live,) you take the Seikan Underwater Tunnel train through the longest undersea tunnel in the world.
